Optimizing Polymer Performance with Resoflex
Plasticizers play a crucial role in polymer and plastic development, improving ease of fabrication and often imparting specific properties to ensure that they’ll meet the performance requirements of a particular application–insulation, durability, high strength, or some other characteristic. At Broadview Technologies, we applied our diverse knowledge in material science in collaboration with Cambridge Industries to create Resoflex, a unique plasticizer designed and engineered for overall stability.
Maximizing Performance with Resoflex
Resoflex plasticizers are a series of highly stable polymer additives designed for improved handling and durability in as wide a range of applications as possible. We wanted to develop plasticizers that performed the usual role of improving plasticity and flexibility for improved manufacturing, while also improving the stability of the material overall.
Our plasticizers are completely saturated, making them non-migratory and stable in any environment. Strong UV rays, extreme temperatures, corrosive conditions–anything that would typically contribute to deterioration doesn’t affect Resoflex. The product line also exhibits little to no volatility, excellent color stability, superior flexibility, and resistance to contaminants like oils, fats, grease, and gasoline, and they’ve been tested rigorously, both in-house and out in real world scenarios.
Optimizing Plastic Resins and Materials Across Industries
Our customers have utilized Resoflex in a wide variety of applications, such as adhesive and polyester foam production, the production of water-emulsion paints and vinyl coatings, leather finishes, heat-resistant lacquers, nonwoven fabric binders and fabric coatings, a variety of wall primers and sealers, lamination materials, and heat-sealing coatings. They can also be found in grease-proof paper and fiberboard coatings, typically those used in food packaging, synthetic lubricants, nylon thread coatings, and backing compounds supporting rugs and carpets.
And this is just the start. Thanks to the hard work and collaboration of our team and Cambridge Industries, we’ve made one of the most versatile and high performance plasticizers available.
